Unit 9.1 Genres Overview, Elements of Fiction
In this Unit, the students receives a brief overview of reading and writing genres as an activator for later study throughout the year. The student engages in effective reading and writing stategies. The student examines the components of fictional texts by examining novels and short stories, and reviews and uses the writing process to develop original compositions of varied length.
